McCorkle Nurseries is committed to continual growth in producing and marketing quality plants while protecting and improving the environment.
Water
Stewardship of natural resources is a top priority for McCorkle Nurseries. The majority of water used for irrigation is reclaimed into 17 ponds. Our multiple pumping systems help support our irrigation requirements. During peak season, 4 million gallons of reclaimed/recycled water are used daily. All water from our system is treated and filtered, and can be injected with liquid fertilizer.
Integrated Pest Management
We are committed to producing the highest-quality plants while continuing to be stewards of our environment. Our Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program monitors total plant health by minimizing the use of chemicals to control pests, weeds, and other issues.
Environmentally Friendly
We are commitment to sustainable and environmentally responsible growing practices and were the first North American nursery shrub grower to receive an MPS-A rating from More Profitable Sustainability, the international standard for sustainability in the flower and ornamental plant industry.
Innovation
We employ several robots that tirelessly adjust plants to the proper distance from each other for optimal growing conditions. They autonomously carry out their jobs, allowing our human employees to focus on more important plant care.
